Cardio: Cardiovascular exercise is any exercise that raises your heart rate
Strength Training: Strength training is a type of physical exercise that uses resistance to to cause the muscles to contract, which builds strength, endurance, and the size of muscles.
Reps: A repetition is the number of times you do the same movement in one set.
Sets: The amount of times you will repeat that exercise for the set number of repetitions
*Usually, if you want to gain muscle, you do a lesser amount of reps with heavier weights. If you just want to tone, you do more reps with a lighter weight. However, it all depends on what works best for your body.
Plyometrics: It basically means jump training. The idea is to develop the greatest amount of force in the shortest amount of time and it’s great for gaining strength, speed, and power.
Pilates: It is a body conditioning exercise that helps flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. Joseph H. Pilates invented Pilates and he believed that that our physical and mental health are connected.
